Who we are
We are creators. We are advocates. We are REbELs
—with a purpose.
At Route T21, we believe that true sustainability goes beyond being environmentally friendly—it's a philosophy that encompasses responsibility to our community, our planet, and future generations.
What Does Sustainability Mean to Us?
Sustainability, for us, is more than just an eco-friendly label. It’s a commitment to a holistic approach, where every decision we make considers its environmental, social, and economic impact. We believe that sustainable choices are rooted in the idea that small, thoughtful actions can lead to lasting change.

Design Director
At the core of this project is me—his mom—a graphic designer and marketing strategist who’s always been passionate about building brands with meaning. I use my love of design and visual storytelling to amplify voices that are too often left out. This isn’t just my work—it’s my purpose. Together, Tommy and I are creating something that’s as much about beauty as it is about breaking barriers.

Artist and Ambassador of REbEL Against Perfection
Tommy is a teenager living with Autism, Down syndrome, and brain damage—diagnoses that come with daily challenges most people never see. But that’s not where the story ends—it’s where it begins. Tommy is also a brilliant visual thinker, a curious learner, and a joyful creator. With a paintbrush in hand, he’s not just making art—he’s rewriting the rules. His abstract pieces are fearless, imperfect, and unapologetically him.
Story Behind Route T21
A story to raise a kinder, more conscious world.
This isn’t just a journal. It’s a piece of my heart—and maybe yours too.
Before I became a mother, I was passionate about the planet. One of my first big projects in college was a campaign to protect wildlife and forests in Panama, which opened my eyes to the destruction we are causing to our habitat.
Then I became a mom.
When my son was born with Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) and later diagnosed with Autism, my world shifted. But it wasn’t just the diagnoses. After a hospitalization in early childhood, Tommy experienced a massive regression, losing hard-won motor skills, social interaction, and communication abilities. That moment changed everything. The cause I thought I was chasing suddenly had a much deeper calling: to make the world more inclusive for children with disabilities, not just for him, but for all children.
I began to see how disconnected we’ve become. The fight for a healthier, more sustainable planet often leaves behind those who are most vulnerable. And how rarely people with disabilities are included in conversations about sustainability, equity, or the future.

Tommy is my sweetest devotion. Life with Down syndrome and Autism has its challenges, but it’s also full of lessons. Pain is part of being human—and with creativity and critical thinking, we find ways to adapt, survive, and thrive. If you're in a tough season, hold on. It gets better.
