ABOUT ROUTE T21
Route T21 is an eco-inclusive business exploring a practical idea: sustainability should account for the planet, the work, and the people too, often excluded from both.
FOUNDED BY ROSA. BUILT WITH TOMMY.
THE FOUNDER
Rosa Ortiz Lane is the Founder and Creative Director of Route T21. A graphic designer and content strategist, she uses brand thinking, visual storytelling, and lived experience to build a business where useful products and adapted work belong to the same system.
WHY ROUTE T21 EXISTS
Rosa’s environmental interests began before motherhood, including an early college campaign protecting wildlife and forests in Panama. Raising Tommy—who has Down syndrome, autism, and significant motor-planning needs—expanded that understanding. A sustainable future cannot be measured only by materials and waste. It must also ask whether people have meaningful ways to participate.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
Route T21 begins with Tommy Packs: useful everyday goods prepared through eligible adapted tasks. It also includes REbEL Against Perfection, the creative philosophy that rejects the idea that value depends on speed, polish, or fitting a traditional mold.
This is a working business model, built carefully and honestly. It starts with Tommy and demonstrates what becomes possible when work is adapted around ability.
